Evening of Bosnian Sevdah and Dance

Event Details

Sevdah is the traditional music genre of urban town centers of old Bosnia and Herzegovina. This evening will feature sevdalinke by Bosnian performers now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. The performers are Muhamed Kocan, Rasima Alisic Klisturic, and Hajrudin Hajric.  They will be joined by Mary Sherhart of from Seattle and Kitka. The band will include: Dzevad Zeric - accordion, Dzenan Gacanovic - key board and arrangments.  The Bosnian dance ensemble, Kud Bosnjak, will perform.
