katefoleydancers_300In Angels of Suderac Foley mixes contemporay dance with invented archaic folkdance inspired by her investigations into the 17th centruy witch trial documentation on the vilenice (fairy cult healers) of Janjina, autobiographical material and her experience with American popular dance culture.

Zoran Cica, ethnologist, plays the role of a narrator, highlighting new research on the psychedelic shamanism of the vilenice.  Composition and rock guitar virtuoso Adam Semiljalac's hypnotic score mixes contemporary rhythms with recordings of his grandparents'voices.  Prize winning dramaturge Luka Rukavina and editor Jelena Mordic collaborate with Foley and filmmaker Tom rukavina, whose projedted dance footage shot on location at Sudjerac combines horror movie tropes with breathtaking Dalmatian landscapes. Costumes designed by Davorka Dugacki Medvesek, lighting desgn by Miljenko Bengez, sound desgn by Nicolas Cikos.

The Dalmacijo Singers have been delighting audiences since 1986. This choral ensemble has performed in various concerts, ethnic festivals, family gatherings, and Church of Nativity functions. With many of the member's family ties linking to the Dalmation Coast, their repertorie consists mostly of songs from different parts of Croatia.
